Say Goodbye to 2010...

new_years_eve.jpg

And so another year has passed! Just this time last year I was getting ready to pack my things and head to Vienna, Austria. Now, I'm packing for Ghana, Africa! This experience will be completely different than the last and I cannot wait. This year, I have a few goals in mind. I want to continue to better my mind and body by working out 4-5 times a week and eating right. I have been since October, but I would like to keep it up! Hopefully I can lose those 5 more pounds I've been trying to get rid of! I also want to try and not say no too often. I'm pretty much open to anything and everything but sometimes I get scared and the fear keeps me from trying. I like to keep my resolutions relatively basic. I mean, why do some people have to go all crazy and make a goal that really isn't within their grasp? I'm fine sticking with my goals. Tonight I will be celebrating the new year at Hemingways, a bar in Seaside. I am SO excited and I cannot wait! Today will be filled with beautifying for the big night! I did hear though, that Snooki will be in Seaside celebrating NYE because she is not allowed to be dropped from the MTV ball in Times Square. I very much hope that she will not be in Seaside! I do not feel like sharing NYE with a bunch of guidos who think they know the Jersey Shore. But, I hope everyone has a healthy and happy new year and celebrates tonight!

hmm...

pow-start-living.jpg

I was just surfing around the web, and I came across this picture. LOVE IT. It is so true. Life does not revolve around our "stuff" and when it really comes down to it, if we had a choice between our stuff and our friends & family, I'm sure all of our stuff would gladly be left behind. So, give all your shit away and start living. Do something, give back, take risks, travel, grow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I'm finishing up finals at school and I CANNOT wait to get back home and get in the holiday spirit! Next Monday, I'll be going to NYC to see the tree and all of the Christmas decorations and I am so excited! Can't wait :)

Well, here goes nothing...

So. I have heard A LOT about blogging, mainly through my journalism class and I decided to give it a go! I already have a journal, but I thought it would be cool to have a kind of online journal as well to share with others. I also thought this would be a wonderful way to tell others of my travels while in Ghana this Winter session! My goal for this blog is just to report on my life and fill others in on what's going on, what's inspiring me and just other little things that I've seen that I like. I hope you all enjoy! :)
